Haven't cared to much about the FA cup for some time now - oh yes I remember when I was last really into it, it was at wembley - the final against pompey!! However this season, as it seems likely that we are not going to be involved in getting out of this league in an upward direction anyway! and with our identity pretty much restored I'm actually getting into it again and I'm looking forward to our match against Reading. Appparently they're bringing about 2,000 fans so hopefully there will be a pretty good atmosphere, all we got to hope now is for a performance to match the occassion! this could kick-start our season! (Cardiff City fan see - ever the optimist :) )

fast forward to sat evening - (ever the optimist)....

bl***y cup isn't what it used to be, we can concentrate on league now, a big february and we'll be right up there!

I don't even think they're that grim. OK the team isn't likely to challenge for promotion any time soon but outgoings are being cut (even if Tan is doing it in the worst possible way) and the team is back in blue.
Maybe CCFC can stabilise and be sustainable?

Yes that's a fair comment, mind you sustainable and progression back to the premier league may not be possible. The money in football is so ridiculous it beggars belief - Kenwynne on £37k a week and perhaps 2 or 3 more on £25k a week!! I don't know why they don't bring a wage cap into football - globally? So the likes of Rooney says... you expect me to play for £30k a week you gotta be joking I'm a £300k a week player! OK Wayne so what are you going to do to earn £30k a week in the 'real' world!
So it's difficult for Cardiff City to know when good times will return - on the field? still I'm almost defintely going to renew my season ticket and going back to blue means this season has been a great success regardless. B L U E B I R D S !

Manchester United's revenue last year was £433.2million, not sure at what level a wage cap could be placed on someone like Rooney considering these kind of receipts.
