Still no work (that i know of) at the bayscape site.
But in breaking news, they have put in a "new" landing page on the website: http://www.bayscape.co.uk/

Small steps...

Fingers crossed...

Nothing in the planning documents past November 2014 (Section 106 Agreement).
But I suppose if they are updating their website then it's not quite dead in the water yet!

It's a well known fact that Cardiff does not have near enough hotels to accommodate visitors when it hosts events such as the Champions League.

If the council are talking about floating hotels being a possibility (most likely just small cruise liners) then surely they would be encouraging the building of actual hotels. If the Bayscape tower was to be built, it would help significantly. And it's not like there's no demand for hotels. Cardiff has quite a catchment nowadays for tourism. You can't walk through the centre without seeing a group of tourists anymore, and it gets more than its fair share of high profile events due to its status as a capital city.

A quick look through TripAdvisor and Facebook reviews shows that although people generally love the city, hotels are the main gripe. We do lack quality hotels. So I really do hope Bayscape still has some legs.

I wonder does this refer to just the apartments or the whole scheme. The area is starting to fill up with homes now so maybe it's time to get a shift on for the residential. As regards the actual Tower (Hotel) that we were excited about - some time ago! (he says diplomatically) perhaps this is more likely than the one proposed the other side of the peninsula at the moment! mind you that's not saying much  Anyway this does sound encouraging... so just maybe!

Well at least something is going to be happening there! Baby steps!

As far as I'm aware "Phase 2" is still the hotel tower, so no change in plans at least.
