There seems to be lots of west country based chains opening in Cardiff - Loungers, Pieminster, Stable, Artigiano etc.

The only Cardiff based chains reciprocating are probably Brains and Coffee No 1 (which are actually the same thing). That seems to be a common theme with Welsh based businesses, a reluctance to open up over the border. I wonder if the likes of Tiny Rebel could one day replicate Brewdog for example?

Quite an appalling puff piece. Reads like it was written by a school kid, with the same information just repeated over and over several times, changing only from passive voice to direct quotes. Do these hacks even read over what they've written?

It's Wales Online - what did you expect? With the exception of Sion Barry and a couple of others their stuff is dire. On top of that the bloody website is forever crashing.

Apparently barburrito are coming to cardiff. Being older than I once was I have no idea if this is a good thing.

Hopefully a good thing, as long as it is better quality than Mission Burrito which is tastless stodge. I'm amazed there are always ques out the door there.

On another note I was quite surprised to see that the Toby Cavery unit in St David's 2 has now closed. Always looked busy and have to say I was quite partial to a roast beef or pork baguette.

Shame it closed I enjoyed the sandwiches especially as you got money off there with the Cardiff Bus iff card. The unit won't be closed for long as apparently that is where Barburrito are opening.
