Well this 'new' forum has been going a while now and personally I remain very pleased with it. My only problem is that on a daily basis I must get 20-50 bogus attempts to join it. Unless I've got it completely wrong and Cardiff is THE talking point in Rumania and outer mongolia!!

OK so if you are trying to join and wish to have a username without a cardiff reference (which you are completely entitled to do of course) then you may be inadvertently overlooked - apologies for that. If that has happened you can email me here paul@cardiffwalesmap.com and I will then locate your email notification and 'OK it' OR if you use a username with a Cardiff connection then I'll know you're 'for real' and you could always then change it when you're 'in'.

We've got 98 members so far - so 100 very soon I'm sure. With a target of 1,000 (ever the optimist!) that's 10% of the way there! - onward and upward! like central square!!

And for the 98 who are already on-board many thanks for your great postings! and Happy New Year (better late than never) Looks like there's going to be a fair bit of activity in our fine city in 2015 so that should make this place pretty busy!!

Hi Paul, thanks for letting me in, you can't be too careful. Various forums I have used over the years usually end up bogged down with spam bots!

Just a quickie from cardiffwalesmap HQ!! at last I've bothered to introduce a question for people wishing to join this happy throng of like minded people! Point being - if anyone reading this has ever tried to join but failed due to the amount of bogus emails I receive (and your genuine one was overlooked) then please try again. As a matter of interest the next person to join will make us 100 strong!! So come on you lurkers Hop on Board!!
