Bad news...

The naming rights are going to be given to Principality Building Society.
I wish this stadium naming rights fad would go away. The millennium needs to keep its soul intact.

What does everyone think about this?

How about "The Principality 3.49% discount until 31/10/2017 , mortgage offer Stadium"

If everyone still calls it the Millennium Stadium, then like St James parks it will eventually revert back.

At least it's going to a Cardiff based company and not some arbitrary global corporation such as Aviva, O2, Emirates, etc.

£15 million over ten years... It's hardly worth doing! £1.5 million per year, which decreases in value year upon year. Sounds like a desperate decision to me. And the name gives unwanted connotations. I hope they rethink this deal.

Is that all they are getting ?

I'd rather it DID go to some random corporation not based here if that's the case. That's an irrelevance to me, it's all about the money, that's the whole point in letting someone having the naming rights.

I wonder how much the IRFU get for their stadium ?

Murrayfield pulled in £20 million over just 4 years I believe...

If Scotland can get that, why can't the WRU?
