Anything less than a win tonight and we can ditch our world cup dreams!! however with a good win we go to Moldova full of confidence on tuesday - then another achievable game against georgia to tee up a crunch clash against ireland in October! sorted - see you in Moscow!! oh but tonight first, I'm hoping Gareth Bale has a never to be forgotten performance tonight - after 4 draws hopefully we are due something special!! So come on Wales!

A big performance needed from us tonight on the pitch and in the stands. After last summer, expectations are higher from some fans who I think forget how hard it was supporting Wales over the last few decades. Hopefully everyone gets in early and gets the place banging right from the start.

I was really worried at half time, and then THAT goal!

Sometimes you need to win ugly.

What a goal. It's now back in our hands

Moldova - Banana skin or formality?

Well no game is a formality that's for sure! but with our team back to full strength and a new super star chomping at the bit! tonight should take us another 3pts closer to the Russian dream (still loads to do after tonight of course)

Phew! and with Ireland losing it's looking good for playoff situation - the great thing is that we needed two wins from this International 'break' and that's what we've got, roll on october!! but Ben Woodburn eh! welsh legend already - not bad at 17!!

Great three points tonight. Moldova set up to frustrate which they were very effective at. We're never at our best when we have to try and break down what was for long periods, a 9 man defence. Still, despite Ramsey and Bale not playing at their best (I'm sure Bale is carrying an injury) we still got the result, something that wouldn't have happened in previous years. Looking forward to next month now.

I disagree, we needed Ireland to beat Serbia last night - given the Irish have to come to CCS it was in our hands to finish above them even if they beat Serbia last night.

As it stands Serbia need 1 win from 2 games to top the group so it now looks like we'll finish runner up. We are currently bottom of the play off table....

Fair point - to be honest I was pretty much thinking that we had blown our chances of automatic qualification already. I'm going to have to look at that play off table - surely two more wins (not easy) will guarantee our playoff place?

if we win both games then we will finish mid table in the play offs table.
