Wow, that would have been quite something. It does make you wonder what the route would be! Does anyone want to have a go at mapping a course out?

I’ve always thought Lloyd George Avenue could be put to better use as a drag strip!

Red Bull did some kind of demo thing a few years ago in Cardiff Bay - 2011 I think it was.
Mark Webber was one of the drivers.

Webber and Ricciardo were the drivers. It was a long time ago now and I suspect the only time we will get an F1 demo in the city!

The online article was quite condescending towards Cardiff, saying even locals would be surprised that Cardiff was being considered for F1. Maybe the writer is unaware of the major events held in Cardiff over the last couple of decades

I'm not a motor racing fan, but an F1 race would certainly have been a major coup, and put Cardiff even more in the spotlight as a big event city. Hopefully the door's not completely shut on the possibility.

I'm a local, I think 'suprised' was a fair assessment!

Never really understood why cities/towns need to go to the expense and hassle of hosting F1, when we have proper customised circuits that were buit for that very purpose.
