Dusseldorf is apparently a fine city but I just don't get an airline running weekly flights there. Are you supposed to either stay there for 7 days or one hour?I just don't get it.

Bristol airport was rammed to the rafters when I arrived back from Berlin on Sunday night*. I had to wait for three bloody buses to Temple Meads before my place in the queue enabled me to board the bus! I saw two people on one of the Cardiff airport bus shuttles yesterday and they were the first people that I had seen on it in at least half a dozen sightings.

They can issue all the press releases that they want, but I can't see that anything has changed in this 'tale of two city airports' since WG spent £52million purchasing Cardiff Airport.

*loads of Welsh passengers on board as per usual!

I thought that when I saw it...Surely at least twice a week would be required for the city break market

The article and Cardiff Airport state that there are direct flights to Naples (albeit the airport's website says information coming soon) anybody know more about this?

It'll probably be a once a year charter flight so I wouldn't hold your breath. Still - expect an imminent press release promoting the fact that Wales is now open to business to the important Italian business and tourism markets.

I really should stop being so cynical.

I was walking across the barrage on Sunday and in the space of 20 minutes or so saw 3 Ryanair (the tailplane looked like Ryanair livery) a320/737 types cross the bay heading toward Rhoose. It certainly seemed like a lot of traffic.

Shwsh! Don't tell any one. It's Carwyn's secret plan. Ryanair based at Rhoose and Cyprus Airways operating out of Sain Tathan, Cardiff's very own Luton airport. All is well - but keep it quiet. ;)

http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/80/airport_data_prov/201412/December_2014_Provisional_Airport_Statistics.pdf

CAA Stats just out for December, a new record!! December 2014 -20.2% down as compared to December 2013.

At what point do the WAG just sell it and accept a loss.

The expression "Good money after Bad" comes to mind.
