Bayscape

A little tongue in check test of the new forum!

I hope someone tells Christopher that the Famous "Bayscape" thread has, after 5 years moved forum.
I would hate for him to be posting daily progress on the Hotel project with no onlookers.

What is this Bayscape that you talk about?

Sounds like it would be fantastic for an ''international'' city like Cardiff

From what I have heard, Bayscape is now being financed by Chinese investors who want the builders / developers to take all the financial risks which has led to the original builder / developer walking away from the project due to concerns over whether they would actually get paid. Realistic timescales put the completion of this project in 10 years time.

The bayscape planning applications have formally been decided on Friday 8th August 2014. I'm not sure what the decided documents were from a few weeks ago, I guess drafts. There are 3 applications related to bayscape decided in the weekly decision register, so this time I hope that's that.

Wishful thinking, but maybe the recent surge of world-class events will spur something on here! Cardiff does have a demand for hotels it seems.
