Does this mean it's not going to be Bierkeller (part of the Burning Night Group) who submitted a planning application in June 2014?

They are having severe problems in getting the licence/planning that they want so I wouldn't be surprised if they've pulled out.

Re the bierkeller - I e-mailed the company (Sad I Know!) - to quote ' just in the legal process still with licensing, aiming to open mid next year'. I've had a look at their website and was quite impressed.

I noticed that they are painting the curved metal artwork bits which are at the front of Stadium Plaza (or whatever it's called these days). It looks better than what it's replacing.

We never did get Cardiff's Picadilly Square neon signs as originally mooted :D

I can't wait for that thing to be demolished and replaced by something better! Hopefully that may happen when the Central Square development is completed.

It's funny you mention about Picadilly Circus because there is currently some work being carried out on the part of the Capitol Centre directly opposite Sainsbury's, and there were plans for a curved LED video wall submitted about 6 months ago. I'm not sure if that's what they're installing now, but it would certainly be an improvement.
