Of course, the parties in the former administration are moaning and scaremongering. Neil McEvoy continues with claims that Cardiff's "Green Lungs" will be "concreted over". Well if some intensively farmed land on the edges of a city represents a lung, perhaps. And if the fact that something like 85% of the remaining greenfield land will remain undeveloped doesn't matter. And if we ignore the fact that the real green lungs are the significant areas of parkland, and in particular, Bute Park and Roath Park.

And the Lib Dems talk of a 'cross-border' approach, which basically means get RCT, the Vale and Caerphilly to build more greenfield homes. Now they'll sell this as win-win. Less building in over-developed Cardiff. More building in communities that could do with more consumers. But if the people are going to commute its lose-lose. More congestion and traffic, and less happy people. Or maybe lose-lose-lose as people actually move to other cities where they can live closer to the action.

I'm no tin foiler that's for sure. I just have an issue with the ridiculous process orientated approach adopted by the state which seems to get in the way of almost everything we want to do in life. at times it seems boxes have to be ticked for the sake of it.
